Wisdom naturally comes with age, but don’t you think old Pierre could use a fresh pair of eyes? And would you like to give him some wise advice every now and then? The Cuypershuis is looking for 8 children ages 7 to 12 who would like to meet with the Cuypershuis team once every two months to brainstorm ways to make the museum a fun place for kids to be and learn. Do you have your own opinions and aren’t afraid to share them? Are you interested in learning more about what goes on behind the scenes at a museum? And would you like to test out new activities with other kids or give your advice?
Then send us a letter explaining why you’d like to join the Cuypershuis Children’s Council!
What do we expect from you?
- You visit a museum from time to time and enjoy going to museums!
- You must be available for at least 6 Wednesday afternoons per year between 2:30 and 4:45 p.m. These meetings are always held on the second Wednesday of the month, but not every month. The first Children’s Council meeting is on March 12, 2025. The Children’s Council runs from March 2025 to January 2026
- You’re okay with being in photos that the museum may use, for example on our website

- We’d like to receive your letter by Monday, February 17, either by mail or by email to educatie@roermond.nl. Of course, you’re also welcome to make a video! Please send your video via WeTransfer.
- On Thursday, February 27, you’ll hear from us about whether you’ve been selected for the Children’s Council.
- Be sure to mark Wednesday, March 12, and April 9, in your calendar for the first meetings!
