The Cuypershuis is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are also open on Easter Monday and Whit Monday. We are closed on Mondays, New Year’s Day, Carnival (Sunday through Tuesday), Easter Sunday, Pentecost Sunday, both Christmas days, and King’s Day.

Paving Work
Starting August 17, work will be taking place around the Cuypershuis. Paving work will be underway, which means the museum’s main entrance will be temporarily less accessible. Please keep this in mind when planning your visit to the museum.
Construction on the Roermond Ring Road
Work will soon begin on the roundabout at the Minderbroederssingel and Molenstraat. Detour routes will be in effect during this phase to ensure the city center remains as accessible as possible. Check here for the latest news on these developments.
The Cuypershuis strives to be accessible to all visitors, including wheelchair users. The museum’s main entrance has been specially designed to be wheelchair-accessible, allowing wheelchair users to enter easily. In the museum’s basement, we have a wheelchair available for people with limited mobility.
However, it is important to note that not all areas of the museum are accessible to wheelchair users. The Cuypershuis is a museum housed in a historic building; there are many narrow hallways and steep staircases. Unfortunately, the historic rooms, such as the Houtloods and the Tekenlokaal, cannot be reached by wheelchair. The large exhibition hall can, however, be reached by wheelchair via the garden.
If you have a large or electric wheelchair, the museum’s elevator may not be suitable. It is therefore advisable to contact the museum in advance to discuss your specific needs and see if alternative solutions are available.
Regarding parking at the museum, please note that parking options are limited. In front of the Cuypershuis entrance (on Pierre Cuypersstraat), there is one accessible parking space and a few standard (paid) parking spots along the street. In addition, you can find paid parking at Q-Park De Oranjerie, Q-Park Roercenter, ECI Parking Lot, and Stationspark Parking Garage, all of which are located about 10 minutes away from the Cuypershuis. For wheelchair users, the Q-Park Roercenter and Stationspark parking garages are the most convenient. We recommend following the signs in the city center that direct you to the Cuypershuis from Roermond Station.

At the Cuypershuis in Roermond, you’ll step—both literally and figuratively—into the world of a man brimming with boundless enthusiasm and ambition. A visit to the Cuypershuis is like looking over his shoulder, as if he were still there himself.
To immerse you even further in this story, a host or hostess is available at the museum every Tuesday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., there’s a guided tour for individual visitors. In 45 minutes, you’ll get a good sense of the stories the museum has to offer. Participation in this tour costs 1 euro per person and is exclusively for individual visitors, not groups.
You’ll be welcomed by our enthusiastic volunteers, who love to share stories about their Cuypershuis. Because of their diverse backgrounds and interests, each story may vary, but the focus is, of course, on the life and work of architect Pierre Cuypers.
Need a moment to unwind from all the sights? You can do just that at the Cuyperscafé.
Enjoy coffee, tea, or a soft drink with a delicious Limburg-style fruit tart. You can sit comfortably at one of the tables inside or, when the weather is nice, on the terrace in the garden.
In the museum shop, you’ll find art books and catalogs containing information about the permanent collection and the temporary exhibitions. The museum shop and the Cuyperscafé are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
